I have always had a fascination with interior design and architecture from the lens of a photographer over the last decade. To be a designer was always a dream but I knew my talents and limitations and never made the attempt to be a part of that world outside of documenting it. Moving to Brooklyn in 2012 brought a lot of artists in my life who inspired me with their sheer talent but often their world was so radical it made little sense in all but the most avant garde home art collections. They themselves never wanted to veer from their own artistic vision which ended up causing them a lot of financial strife in their attempts at being an artist mainly for themselves. I always love the spirit of collaboration and still wanted to be a part of design, so one day, inspired by an artist who encouraged me to try and paint, went to an art store and bought every paint color, brushes, and large canvases to try and dive into the world of abstractions.
